I truly enjoyed this. Most of all it made me realize that I need to read more time travel books.

I really liked how it was done in this book, that they couldn't just jump through time how they wanted but that it had consequences, like they had to steal time from others.

The characters were okay. I liked them but I didn't much care for them. I finished the book yesterday and I don't remember any of the names, except Joan, SO.

Overall, I liked this but it didn't wow me in anyway. Something was missing.
But the story itself has me interested enough that I will check out the second book.

Allgemein 3 Sterne, aber alles was mit Farah und Saul zu tun hat, kriegt von mir volle 5 Sterne!!!
Das Drama der Kids hab ich stellenweise überflogen.

Ja es war magisch und wunderschön geschrieben aber es hat so lange gedauert bis endlich was passiert ist und selbst dann hatte ich das Gefühl wir treten lange auf ​der gleichen Stelle.

Ich bin aber mal auf die anderen Bücher der Reihe gespannt. Werde sie mir aber wieder als Hörbuch anhören.

Das war nicht mein Favorit.
Entweder hat sich die Handlung geschleppt, oder es ist so viel passiert, dass ich komplett die Übersicht verloren habe.

Ich bin auf jeden Fall auf das nächste Buch gespannt, weil ich hoffe, dass es besser wird.

Die Geschichte ist diesmal nur so hingeplätschert, die Charaktere waren auch nicht so wie sie mir sonst gefallen haben, es war alles irgendwie nah dran aber nicht ganz da.

Es hat mich einfach nicht abgeholt.

This could have been a five star, without Adam (!? I don't even remember his name) and the fact that Holland was overall a too trusting person.

Kidding. Maybe.

Listen, I enjoyed this. This made me really excited to finally dive into Caraval and the OUABH series, cause I loved Stephanie Garber's writing, and really enjoyed her world building.

I just struggled with Holland big time, on one hand she knew that she couldn't trust anyone, on the other hand as soon as someone told her "oh you can't trust them, you can only trust me", she immediately did a shrug shrug, I guess I trust you know. And I hated that, it made it really hard for me to root for her, cause I just wanted to shake her.

I did love the story, the whole setting of everything. And I can't even explain why, but I truly did love Gabe. Having him disappear for a while, made the book a bit boring. I just want his full backstory.

(also yes, I changed the rating from 4 down to 3, cause while writing the review I just couldn't justify giving this a higher rating)
