Ich wusste, dass das Buch reinhauen würde. Haymitch ist absolut einer meiner Lieblingscharaktere in der Panem Welt. Aber trotz allem hatte ich nicht erwartet, dass mich das Buch so mitnehmen würde.
Die Mädels sind mein Ein und Alles. Ich werde sie echt nie vergessen, das Schicksal der drei ist für immer in mein Hirn gebrannt. Grund Gütiger. Auch Ampert.
Ich weiß nicht warum ich überrascht war bekannte Gesichter (Beete, Mags, Wiress, EFFIE) in dem Buch zu finden, aber ich hab mich wirklich gefreut sie zu sehen.
Das Buch hat eine Menge Schmerz und Trauer. Ich hatte kaum die ersten Seiten gelesen und ich war schon total fertig, das wurde zum Ende hin auch nicht besser. Alles tut weh aber ich liebe es?!
Deswegen war der Epilog so gut, einfach um uns daran zu erinnern, dass es besser wird. Es dauert lange. Es gibt noch viele Hunger Spiele und so verdammt viele tote Kinder. Aber irgendwann wird es besser.

I have beef with my past self, cause girl, what do you mean? Why didn't you focus on whatever the fuck is going on with Harper/Helene, cause I'M EATING THIS UP!!! I don't expect this to go anywhere, to be fair. Cause seriously I can't picture any way any of these characters will get a happy end.
Started the last book right away, cause I never read it, and I'm ready now (I'm not.)

Meine Bewertung: Die Bücher werden besser und besser!!!
Die Serie wird mehr und mehr zu meiner absoluten Lieblingsserie. So so so verdammt gut. Der Schreibstil ist einfach so verdammt gut. Dann hab ich nebenbei auch das Hörbuch gehört und die Sprecher machen die Sache einfach so so so so gut.
Und die Charaktere. Sie sind inzwischen meine Babies. Außer Elias, ich werde mit ihm einfach nicht wirklich warm und das hat sich in dem Band nicht wirklich geändert. Aber ich liebe Laia, ich liebe Helena. Livia. Harper. Ich liebe die vielen verschiedenen Beziehungen zwischen all den Charakteren.
Alles in allem war das Buch wirklich unglaublich gut, ich hab ein bisschen gebraucht bis ich reingefunden habe, weil es schon eine Weile her ist seit ich das zweite Buch gelesen habe. Aber es war wieder voller Action, es war voll von Wendungen. Es war großartig!!!

My review: These books keep getting better and better!!!
This series is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorites. So so so damn good. The writing was just incredible. I also listened to the audiobook while reading and the people reading did such an amazing job.
And the characters. They have become my babies. Except for Elias, I just don't like him that much, he's just not doing anything for me, and that didn't change with this book. But I love Laia, I love Helene. Livia. Harper. I love all the different relationships that these characters have.
All in all, I truly loved this book, it took me a bit to get into it, cause it feels like ages since I read the second book. But there was so much action, there were so many twists and turns. It was amazing!!!

Der erste Band hat mich wirklich schon total begeistert. Wir waren gleich mitten in der Story, in dem wir von Morrigans bevorstehendem Schicksal und ihrem "Fluch" erfahren haben. Deswegen war ich gleich drin und hab nicht viel Zeit gebraucht.
Morrigan ist ein wunderbarer Charakter, ich mag sie echt total gerne. Sie hat mir in der Mitte ihrer Familie so unheimlich leid getan, weil sie sich wirklich ziemlich alleine durchschlagen und sich ihrem "Fluch" stellen muss.
Um so schöner war es dann natürlich als es einen Ausweg für sie gab und es für sie nach Nevermoor ging. Ich habe schon jetzt "found family" feels wenn es um Jupiter/Morrigan geht und freue mich mehr davon in den nächsten Bänden zu sehen. Schon jetzt mag ich total die Freundschaft zwischen Morrigan und Hawthorne. Und ich bin unheimlich gespannt ob wir mehr von Hawthorne als Drachenreiter sehen werden, denn DRACHEN!!!! Cadence find ich unheimlich interessant, hoffe von ihr sehen wir auch einiges mehr.
Samantha Shannon hat mit den Büchern wirklich eine großartige Welt erschaffen und so viele tolle und vor allem unterschiedliche Charaktere. Vor allem so viele weiblichen Charaktere!!!

Tunuva ist meine absolute Nummer 1. Aber ich liebe auch Dunmai, Glorian, Canthe, und Nikeya. Sie sind wirklich alle so verschieden aber sie sind alle großartig. Sabran und Bardholt, ich hätte gerne so viel mehr von den beiden gesehen, vor allem das letzte Kapitel der beiden hat echt seelischen Schaden angerichtet (dabei hat es nicht geholfen, dass mein House of the Dragon Hirn, die beiden als Rhaenys/Corlys besetzt hat, und das ist ein ganz anderer seelischer Schmerz!!!)
Das erste Buch endet mit Kapitel 53, bevor die Story im nächsten Buch weitergeht, da es bei uns ja geteilt wurde. Aber was für ein Ende, was für eine Enthüllung. Wulf ist übrigens auch ein Charakter, den ich wirklich unheimlich mag.
Ich bin so gespannt wie es weiter gehen wird. Außerdem habe ich auch jetzt schon entschlossen, dass ich danach nochmal den Orden des geheimen Baumes lesen werde. Ich liebe einfach Samantha Shannons Welt die sie hier erschaffen hat und wie viel Zeit sie sich nimmt, die Charaktere aufzubauen und ins Leben zu rufen. Ja die Bücher sind lang aber sie sich so gut.

I also came to the realization that maybe I don't hate Taryn, Vi and Nicasia as much as I always thought. All these characters are morally grey on a good day and morally dark on their worst. But that is what makes them so damn interesting. Also the fact that when it counts THEY SHOW UP.
The reread of this whole series was such a fun ride, cause this time around I could just enjoy it way more, cause now I LOVE morally grey characters.
I can't believe how much I forgot about this last book. The whole serpent thing? I had no memory of it at all even though it's such a huge thing.
Overall I'm just really happy with how everything got wrapped up.
Now that I know about the Oak/Suren books, I also focus much more in them and the scenes they showed up in.

My review: This was a pretty good ending to the series!!!
I didn't love everything about this, but that is a whole for the series. It's becoming one of my favorite series, even though I hate so many characters and could do without some of the relationships (I didn't hate how things ended, but I also didn't really like or enjoy it. Cardan grew on me. A little bit. But I know as soon as I go back to book one, I will hate him again with a burning passion.)
But I love this whole book series as a whole. I love the world. This world is so freaking stunning. I just love it. I also love Jude a lot, she makes this book for me, she is one of those main characters that I TRULY love, who ends up becoming my baby that I will protect at all costs (even though she probably doesn't need it and could protect me instead, BUT OH WELL).
That's it. It probably doesn't make much sense but my weird love/hate for these books don't make much sense to me either!!!
