Absolutely LOVE it!
The characters are all gems and I am honestly heartbroken that they are not real people to meet on this planet (of course ignoring the evil ones ;) ). I genuinely admire Tress as the unlikely heroine and the development of her (and all other) characters; each of them is somewhat odd and this makes them all the more loveable.
I also love what Sanderson did with the plot: he basically created an adult version of fairytale but woven in a way more healthy and meaningful way! No poor girly that needs saving - but a crew of friends growing stronger with each step they take together. This is a found family I would very much like to be a part of, please!
I was completely absobed by this geius worldbuilding (adorably done - I can only admire how efficiently the building was doen in so relatively few pages).
The writing, as always, is just absolute top notch! I also very much like that Hoid is the narrator of this epos which entails a whole lot of quirky, punny und witty passages that just made me lough out loud.
This is my persoanl perfect crossover of Alice in Wonderland, the Odysee, a hitchhikers guide through the galaxis and Dune.
This will live rentfree forever in my brain!
caution: even though this is basically a fairytale - it is not written for children. It contains violence and vicious deaths - I would generally classify this as cozy fantasy but for those parts.
