Rating this so low makes me so freaking mad, cause I wanted to love this. And on paper I should have loved it. And I have to admit that I will continue the series, cause I think there is so much potential right there.

I really enjoyed the story overall, I just had so many issues with the pacing of the book. For that amount of pages, not a lot happened until the very end. The bare minimum of world buidling, writing that in parts went in circles, but also contradicted itself.

Rhya, while I truly liked her, she also annoyed me, cause just like when it came to the overall writing, things around her felt so contradicting. While we got told that she is a strong independent woman, she also let Penn walk all over her.

Which bring me to my main issue with the book. Penn. We got told by people around him how he is such a great guy. Then please, do tell me where that nice guy was when he was interacting with Rhya. Cause the way he talked to her or manhandled her EVERYTIME she didn't agree with him. The amount of times I had to read some version of "he graped my hand/arm painfully", to the point where everytime she did disagree with him I FELT nervous about his reaction. That shit isn't romantic.

So no, I didn't feel any chemistry between them. I didn't want them together. I want him far far far away from her. I don't even want this man in the book.

Like I said, I will continue. Cause I loved the found family (and I'm mad that we lost two of the really good ones), and I have so much hope for more Soren. Soren could safe this series for me. Cause with Soren, you know, maybe Rhya could actually learn something about her abilities, maybe HE would let her train instead of pretty much locking her away. I feel like the two-ish chapters we got of him, he was actually helpful.

no but seriously, this book really just took me out of the situation that is my life and carried me away into a different world and I needed that so much!!!

No one, absolutely no one, does it like Nghi Vo.

The few pages, the short amount of time, and she still writes a beautiful story with interesting characters that stay with me for a long time after I finished the book.

I can't stop thinking about the book and the three idiots!!!!

I loved the story so much. And the writing, I just really got into the story right away without any struggles, I love that.

The characters. I love all three so much, they all come with their own baggage and issues, they all tick completely differently but them all three together. (It took me a bit to actually connect to Asher in any way BUT he's just one of those characters you can't help but want to wrap in a warm blanket - he would probably hate it tho.) Fuck love triangles, give me more of what they have!!!

I kinda saw "the villain" of the story from the first time they showed up but I didn't mind at all, it was a heck of an adventure and I can't wait to get my hands on the second book.

Wow.
Der erste Band war schon kein leichter Spaziergang. Aber Band zwei hat nochmal eins drauf gelegt was die düstere Stimmung angeht und die Heftigkeit der Themen.

Pip hat so viel im ersten Band erlebt und der zweite Band hat die Folgen davon gut gezeigt, und ihr noch mehr Gepäck auf die Schultern gepackt mit dem sie jetzt irgendwie klar kommen muss. Deswegen bin ich unheimlich nervös vor Band drei.

Ich liebe noch immer die Familiendynamik so sehr. Und Pip und Ravi sind mein Ein und Alles.

Der Fall, die Enthüllungen und Wendungen waren so verdammt gut gemacht. Wirklich unheimlich spannend. Der große Moment zum Ende, als alles zusammen kam, beschäftigt mich wirklich immer noch.

Ich liebe die Reihe einfach!!!

Absolut spannend, mit großartigen Enthüllungen und wirklich ein richtig gelungener Abschluss dieser Staffel.

Es wurde richtig gut beendet und abgeschlossen, hat aber gerade mit dem letzten Kapitel nochmal richtig viel Lust auf neue Abenteuer gemacht, denn es ist eindeutig noch nicht alles gelöst.

Die Charaktere sind mir wirklich nach so vielen Bänden so sehr ans Herz gewachsen, ich könnte ewig ihre Abenteuer lesen.
