Nichts macht mich glücklicher als eine Middle Grade Fantasy Reihe zu finden, die mich absolut in ihren Bann zieht.

Der Schreibstil war so unheimlich gut, gleich von Anfang an war ich in der Story drin, ich musste garnicht erst reinfinden. DIE CHARAKTERE. Onyeka ist mein Ein und Alles. Und ich liebe es wie wichtig in diesem Buch nicht nur familiären Beziehungen, sondern auch Freundschaften waren, gerade die Freundschaften zwischen den Mädels.

Ich fand die Welt auch unheimlich spannend, die Fähigkeiten, und nun, die Konsequenzen, die sie haben. Und ganz ehrlich, die Wendungen und Enthüllungen. Eine Sache hab ich kommen sehen aber der Weg dort hin, war wirklich richtig gut gemacht.

Ich bin so auf den nächsten Band gespannt, denn das Ende führt die Serie eindeutig in eine Richtung, die ich am Anfang des Buches nicht erwartet hätte.

Rereading my original review is something, oh, sweet summer child.

While my hate for Taryn will truly never go away, I'm such a Cardan girl these days. 2020 me is shaking in her boots. Reread me is also truly hating Vivi, I just think Heather deserves so much better.

Rereading these books has been incredible and makes me love the story and the characters so much more. I just love this Fae version, the ruthless, backstabbing kind. You just never know who will turn around and betray someone.

My review: Still going strong!!!

I just really like these books, man. Do I hate most of the characters and wish them a slow and painful death? Hell yes. But I just love the world, the writing, (the narrator in my case), And I JUST LOVE JUDE SO DAMN MUCH.

In other news. I still can't stand Taryn (where is the second short story for her where she explains her motives and shit LOL). And Cardan, I was thiiiiis close to actually start liking him and then the end happend and fuck you, dude. Go to hell.

Ich mein, gut, ich hab 3 Monate für das Buch gebraucht aber es war wirklich so gut. Es gab immer mal ein paar langsame Momente aber alles in Allem war es wirklich super spannend. Wenn wir einfach mal Ithan ignorieren. Er bekommt einfach viel zu viel Aufmerksamkeit und ich kann ihn absolut nicht leiden, deswegen ist es schwer für mich mich.

Ich hatte wirklich nicht mit so viel Nesta gerechnet, und dann natürlich die Mischung aus Nesta und Bryce. Das wunderbar sarkastische Bitch-Off, das ich nie dachte, dass ich es brauchen würde. (Außerdem Ember und Nesta?! Der kleine Moment? Der hat was in meiner Seele wieder heil gemacht.)

Während Hunt und Bryce immer noch meine Nummer Eins sind, muss ich sagen, dass mich Ruhn und Lidia in diesem Buch eindeutig mehr gepackt haben. Wahrscheinlich weil die Spannung der beiden nochmal um einiges erhöht war, obwohl es zwischen Hunt und Bryce auch nicht alles Regenbögen und Sonnenschein war.

Ich fand auch, dass die Story einen recht guten Abschluss gefunden hat, deswegen bin ich wirklich gespannt, was da in der Crescent City Welt noch auf uns zukommen wird.

Ich fand das Konzept unheimlich spannend, und ich mochte in welchem Format, die Geschichte erzählt wurde. Die Wendungen und Enthüllungen waren gut getimed und haben alles frisch und spannend gehalten.

Aber die Charaktere. Grund Gütiger, ich konnte keinen von ihnen leiden.
Und selbst das Opfer, moralisch wollte ich natürlich wissen wer ihn umgebracht hat, aber rein theoretisch war es mir vollkommen egal.

Alles in allem ist es einfach so ein Buch das bei mir in der Mitte rum landet. Ich hatte eine gute Zeit beim Lesen, aber ich werde spätestens morgen nicht mehr an das Buch denken.

Oooh I loved this just as much as the first book.

Storywise there was a lot happening and lots of action, but also quiet character moments.
I love this group of people, it's just Andry who doesn't do anything for me. I also feel nothing about whatever is going on between him and Corayne. Corayne, tho, love the growth she went through. Also that scene with her mother. I needed that scene.

Dom and Sorasa on the other hand. THEY. They truly mean the world to me. Love their banter but also love the quiet moments, after that big moment for Sorasa, when she really needed someone to lean on. GOOD GOD.

Loved getting more of Sigil, Charlie, and of course Valtik (she gets underestimated so much but she's always there in the big moments, pulling strings and just being a badass bitch.)

My reread of book one made me really care about Erida. What I realized now is that I can only handle her in small doses and this book had just too much of her. Important stuff but good god. She truly has some banger lines, tho.

The ending shocked me. Cause, what in the world, do you mean?!?!?!?!
She has been so underused in this story, the moment she played a bigger part, this shit is happening to her??
